Dana Neily has a deep love for the VPP community which she has been a part of for many years. She has been a member of the 2016, 2018 and 2019 Vic Slam teams and was the 2017 Victoria Individual Slam Poetry Champion. In the 2017/18 season, she missed only one VPP show because she was at a different poetry show. She has organizational experience with the student Uvic Mental Health Awareness Club as both Vice President (2015-2016) and Event Coordinator (2017). As President of VPP she is passionate about helping this community be as welcoming and accessible as possible, and spreading the joy of spoken word.
