About our features

Tich Wilson

Tich Wilson (they/them/theirs), an award winning poet, actor, educator, and counsellor, uses both their writing and performance as forms of self-advocacy, community empowerment, and reclaiming personal narrative. Their work centres around vulnerability, humour, storytelling, and finding the magic in the mundane. 

Tich is a former Grand Slam Champion and has represented Victoria at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. Their work has been published in Plenitude Magazine, and has received a nomination for a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance in the gender-bending production of Role Call that toured throughout British Columbia. As a live performer, Tich’s energy is magnetic, powerful, weird, and wonderful.
